As we are moving towards urbanization and away from community living, many of us get anxious and stressed about plenty of things in life. Reasons could vary as per age and could be different for different people. But the bottom line in majority of the cases is that we are not good enough. And as most of us have been conditioned from our childhood, that we should not talk openly about our families or our own issues, we suppress all our negative feelings and thoughts. And keep us consciously busy in our day-to day chores or activities which gives us contentment, to an extent, thinking that we have done some productive work in a day. But what we fail to acknowledge, is that as soon as we stop the activity, we feel the gloom, the void, not knowing what to do, how to move forward, how to be happy in a moment.
Very few of us find the true passion of our lives and can live happily ever after. However, for most of us, calm and contentment seem like a mirage which keeps alluring us. And to top it, we put so many pressures on us, from every section of our lives. As a consequence, we start feeling crushed and suppressed below the burden from all of it. In addition, we start asking, is everything ok in my life, am I ok. Maybe few of us, can come out of it on its own, but it is not guaranteed that it will go away on its own for everyone. Loneliness, sadness, feeling of failure becomes a part of everyday life then.
Talking Therapy, Commitment Therapy or Mindfulness can help us move forward or see the light again.
